Job Summary
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation within the facility by cleaning and sanitizing resident rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to established schedules. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect floors, furniture, and surfaces while disposing of trash and hazardous materials following proper waste management protocols. Change bed linens, replenish supplies such as soap and towels, and transport soiled linens to the laundry area. Follow all safety guidelines and infection control protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor. Interact with residents respectfully, assist with minor requests like moving furniture, and communicate supply shortages to the housekeeping supervisor.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or hospitality setting
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules and instructions effectively
