Job Summary
Housekeeping Aide cleans resident rooms and bathrooms on a scheduled basis to meet high standards of cleanliness, infection control, safety and hazardous communication; maintains a clean, orderly work area and assists in maintaining adequate supplies. The role requires ability to read labels and follow instructions in English, stay calm under stress, and physically perform tasks including lifting up to 40 pounds. Preferred qualifications include prior experience in a hospital or long term care facility. Apple Rehab offers a benefits package for employees of 30 hours or greater.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and to take appropriate action.
- Ability to visually assess all aspects of facility.
- Ability to distinguish smells and temperatures and to hear and respond to pages.
- Ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop and have fine hand coordination.
- Ability to lift and move furniture and heavy items weighing approximately 40 pounds.
