Job Summary
Housekeeping Aide at Apple Rehab Middletown, a 70-bed skilled nursing facility in Middletown, CT. Responsible for thorough cleaning of resident rooms and bathrooms, adhering to infection control protocols, safety measures, and hazardous communication programs. Coordinate tasks with other staff to minimize disruptions, manage and replenish supplies, and maintain a hygienic and organized environment for residents and staff. Preferred qualifications include prior experience in hospital or long-term care settings.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in reading labels and following both oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to maintain composure and take appropriate actions in high-pressure or stressful situations.
- Proficient visual assessment skills covering all facets of the facility.
- Capability to differentiate between smells and temperatures, and responsiveness to audible pages.
- Physical capabilities including walking, reaching, bending, lifting (up to approximately 40 pounds), grasping, pulling, stretching, stooping, and fine hand coordination.
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with the demands and nuances of such environments.
