Job Summary
Housekeeping Aide maintains assigned areas in a healthcare facility, performing routine general cleaning across the site under Environmental Services; duties include sanitation, safety, and orderly presentation of rooms and common areas. Must be bilingual in English and French, capable of working independently or with others, able to handle cleaning chemicals per manufacturer directions, and adaptable to shifts including days, evenings, and weekends. May travel to other regional facilities if required. Requires background checks and adherence to confidentiality and diversity policies. Position is temporary with part-time hours (FTE 0.66) and in-person work at Centre de santé Notre Dame Health Centre, Notre Dame de Lourdes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in industrial and/or commercial housekeeping
- Proficiency in English and French (bilingual)
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Ability to handle chemicals and cleaning supplies as per Manufacturer’s directions and facility procedures
- Good attendance and work record
- Criminal background checks / background screening as required
