Job Summary
Receive a room list at shift start to identify cleaning tasks for guest rooms and public spaces. Maintain a detailed cart stocked with linens, supplies, and equipment, then clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways to WoodSpring health and brand standards. Replace soiled linens, disinfect surfaces, dust, sweep, and mop floors while replenishing supplies and emptying trash. Inspect fire prevention devices and pest control areas, report any damage, maintenance issues, or guest belongings to the General Manager, and wash and fold laundry. Work varying shifts based on business needs, adhering to specific timing standards per room length.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a hotel or a related field
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Continuous standing, walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, moving about, and lifting furniture/furnishings
- Frequently bends, kneels and crouches
- Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, pushing, wiping
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals (cleaning materials), odors, dirt and dust
