Job Summary
Housekeeper responsible for maintaining classrooms, restrooms, offices, dormitories, houses and facilities in a clean, orderly state under supervision. Duties include sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing floors; vacuuming rugs and carpets; cleaning windows, chalkboards, walls; restocking supplies; moving furniture; setting up rooms for events; reporting maintenance needs; operating campus cleaning equipment; and supporting event crews. Requires ability to read/write/speak English, perform basic math for chemical mixing, operate powered cleaning equipment, and work on-campus. On-site duties with potential travel to various campus locations; adherence to PPE and safety requirements and university dress code.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to fluently read, write and speak English language.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary to properly mix cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Operate various powered equipment (i.e., mechanical scrubbers, polishers, buffers, washers, blowers, etc.) in performance of assigned duties.
- Accomplishes simple non-skilled maintenance to area and equipment.
- Must be able to perform duties in an on-campus setting.
