Job Summary
Mop and disinfect floors, beds, restrooms, and bathrooms; wipe down walls, phones, and work stations; vacuum, remove trash, and dust. Clean the dining room and patient rooms daily, including occupied and unoccupied spaces. Occasionally wear PPE to clean and disinfect areas contaminated with bodily fluids. Maintain the building in a pristine state within a skilled nursing facility serving patients needing physical rehabilitation and complex nursing care. Full-time role (30-32 hours/week) with variable days including weekends and holidays, typical hours 8am-4:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current and valid fingerprint clearance card (FPCC)
- Pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Ability to tactfully work with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm
- Willingness to handle difficult residents
- Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and requirements
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information
- Not posing a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace
- Full time employment availability (30-32 hours per week)
- Variable days availability including weekends and holidays
- Ability to wear PPE and clean/disinfect areas that have been contaminated with bodily fluids
