Job Summary
Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, and assigned spaces daily while following infection control protocols. Collect, sort, and deliver linens; sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; and restock supplies like soap and towels. Dispose of medical and hazardous waste according to safety standards. Report maintenance needs for broken fixtures or unsafe conditions. Engage with residents respectfully, maintain confidentiality, and use proper PPE when handling chemicals. Participate in deep-cleaning projects such as window washing and seasonal sanitation. Perform duties while lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift, move, and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to perform tasks that require manual dexterity
- Ability to read and interpret documents and data on a computer screen
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and other stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or residential settings
