Job Summary
Clean all assigned guest rooms, bathrooms, and kitchens according to established standards. Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors; clean upholstered furniture, carpets, and draperies. Dust furniture, wash walls, ceiling, baseboards, and woodwork. Wash windows, door panels, and sills. Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays. Replenish guest room supplies to established pars. Sort, count, fold, mark, and carry linens to make beds. Assist in laundry. Report maintenance requirements immediately to the inspector. Render personal assistance to patrons. Maintain a professional standard in appearance and interactions. Incorporate safe work practices. Keep supervisors informed of problems and take corrective action. Maintain a favorable working relationship with associates and purveyors. Perform duties in a timely manner per company policies. Attend scheduled training seminars and department meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Prior experience or training in cleaning
- Willingness to work and be a part of a team
- Able to work varied schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Average physical mobility, which may include moving from place to place in all areas of the Resort
- Average physical agility, which includes standing, sitting, stooping, bending, squatting, reaching, seeing, carrying, hearing, talking, thinking, and learning regarding the job
- Average physical strength to handle office materials and tools
- Average physical strength to handle less than 75 pound objects
- Average dexterity of hands and fingers
- Average coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot
- Average to high endurance
- Average concentration/intensity
- Average complexity of decision making
- Average to high ability to organize workload to determine priority of duties as related to the specific job title
- Includes good communications skills, team work, and the ability to work on own
