Job Summary
Conduct daily cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and kitchen zones including vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting, and window washing. Remove and replace bed linens, manage housekeeping carts, and empty wastebaskets. Maintain a safe environment by identifying hazards and following proper body mechanics while lifting up to 25 lbs. Represent the organization positively to residents, families, and the community to support occupancy goals. Attend required in-service training and orientations. Full-time position with comprehensive benefits including health, vision, dental, 401k, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Must have appropriate training and/or background in a similar setting
- The ability to maintain a clean and neat environment is required
- Knowledge of cleaning practices and substances is required
- The ability to identify cleaning needs and safety hazards is required
- The ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing is required
- Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty-five (25) lbs.
- Must be able to carry objects
- Must be able to push and pull carts
- Must be able to continuously walk, sit and stand
- Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate
- Must use good body mechanics
- Must be able to use cleaning equipment, such as mops, brooms, vacuum cleaners, buffers, and chemicals in a safe manner
- Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks with consideration for residents, visitors, and any worker in the area
- Must project a positive attitude towards the service provided
- Requires frequent lifting, bending, stretching, kneeling and standing for extended periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience in health care or hospitality setting is preferred
