Job Summary
Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas daily using proper chemicals and equipment. Dust mops, wets mops, or spot-mops floors; vacuums carpets as directed; washes and dries windows; arranges furniture; and empties trash containers. Reports repair needs to the Supervisor or maintenance department and requests supplies as necessary. Identifies and corrects safety hazards while abiding by safety rules and Facility protocols. Enforces Abuse Prevention policies and attends weekly in-services to comply with Patient Care Management Systems. Ensures patient/resident safety and performs other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in institutional housekeeping or maintenance is helpful.
- Experience in the use of floor-care equipment is helpful.
