Job Summary
Stock housekeeping carts with supplies and transport cleaning materials to rooms. Thoroughly clean guest rooms and restrooms per department procedures, changing bedding when requested and emptying wastebaskets. Replenish supplies in rooms and bathrooms, conduct final walk-arounds to verify standards, and assist guests as needed. Report maintenance issues to the supervisor, log lost and found items, and maintain daily check-out and stay-over reports. Operate cleaning equipment, fold sheets in the laundry area, and ensure linen rooms remain organized. Work weekends and holidays as required. Must obtain a New York State Gaming License.
Required Qualifications
- Frequent walking and standing for entire length of shift
- Frequent climbing of stairs
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and carrying
- Use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing duties
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Visual acuity sufficient to inspect cleanliness of rooms and surfaces
- Must be able to obtain a New York State Gaming License
- Weekends, Holidays and swing shift work may be required
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Limited to no experience required; previous commercial cleaning and/or guest service experience preferred
- Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools and fixtures
- Ability to read in English a limited number of two and three syllable words; ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Must Role Model Company guest service program
