Job Summary
Clean residents' apartments and public areas according to schedule and established procedures, while performing all laundry duties in commercial facilities. Maintain clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas using proper cleaning techniques, buffers, extraction equipment, vacuums, and commercial laundry machines. Mix cleaning compounds, disinfecting solutions, and other liquids as directed, and report supply and equipment needs to the supervisor for replenishment. Operate assigned machines and handle residents, family members, visitors, and the general public tactfully. Use supplies economically and follow written and oral instructions regarding resident conditions and departmental standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- One to three years related experience
- Related training
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to deal tactfully with associates, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
- Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition
- Ability to operate buffers
- Ability to operate extraction equipment
- Ability to operate vacuums
- Ability to operate all commercial laundry equipment
- Ability to read

- Ability to speak fluent English
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
