Job Summary
Clean residents' apartments and public areas according to established schedules and procedures, while performing all laundry duties in commercial facilities. Maintain sanitary conditions in assigned zones using proper techniques, operate buffers, extraction equipment, vacuums, and commercial laundry machines, and mix cleaning compounds per written instructions. Report supply and equipment needs to the supervisor, make independent decisions, and communicate tactfully with residents, families, and visitors. Stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and occasionally travel to different locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- One to three years related experience
- Related training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to deal tactfully with associates, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
- Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition
- Ability to operate buffers
- Ability to operate extraction equipment
- Ability to operate vacuums
- Ability to operate all commercial laundry equipment
- Ability to read
