Job Summary
Clean overnight guest rooms, hallways, and club areas by stripping and remaking beds, emptying wastebaskets, dusting furniture, and sanitizing bathrooms. Vacuum rooms and hallways, wipe surfaces including windowsills and light switches, and check heating and air conditioning units. Restock room amenities, towels, and supply closets while ensuring all fixtures and equipment are functional. Notify the front desk when rooms are ready for sale and maintain clean bathrobes and ironing boards. Perform daily stocking of housekeeping carts and rotate through laundry or janitorial duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work flexible hours on-call
- Manual dexterity and ability to operate heavy equipment such as commercial grade carpet shampoo equipment
- Climb ladders and work several feet off the ground as in vacuuming tall drapery
- Lift and transfer unbalanced weight up to 10 pounds (regularly), up to 25 pounds (frequently), and up to 80 pounds (occasionally)
- Bend, kneel, and reach overhead to move items
- See at a close range for detail cleaning
- Push and pull equipment such as vacuum cleaners for extended periods of time
- Work while standing and walking for most of shift
- Apply pressure while cleaning such as pumice stone toilets
- Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
- Able to stand for approximately 90% of an 8 hour shift
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Regularly required to reach with hands and arms
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience in hotel housekeeping preferred
