Job Summary
Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of resident rooms, recreational areas, hallways, and common spaces including bathrooms, windows, floors, and carpets. Execute terminal cleaning procedures for discharged or transferred residents while adhering to infection control and fire-safety policies. Maintain proper storage of equipment and supplies, discard waste correctly, and report hazardous conditions, broken lights, or accidents to the supervisor. Ensure work areas remain free of hazards and honor resident property and confidentiality. Full-time Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. with a pay range of $19.00 to $21.00.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, and visitors
- Ability to properly use supplies and maintain equipment
- Ability to maintain appearance of housekeeping areas in a safe, clean, and comfortable manner
- Ability to work harmoniously with personnel
- Ability to seek new methods and principles
- Ability to incorporate new methods and principles into housekeeping practices
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year experience in a health care facility
