Job Summary
Clean and sanitize resident rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and changing bed linens. Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as lounges, dining areas, hallways, and restrooms. Perform regular tasks like emptying trash bins, cleaning windows, and polishing surfaces while following infection control policies and safety guidelines for chemicals. Report maintenance needs promptly, replenish supplies, and collaborate with staff to prioritize schedules. Uphold resident privacy and provide courteous service to address inquiries. This role reports to the Housekeeping Supervisor at an Assisted Living Facility in California.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Required Health Screening
- TB Clearance
- Criminal Record Clearance
- First Aid/CPR Certified
- Special skills needed to meet client needs [California Code of Regulations Sections: 85065(f)/87411(g)]
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work, preferably in health care or senior living setting
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in a professional setting
- Understanding of infection control practices and safety protocols
- Physical stamina ability to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interact with residents and staff in a professional manner
- Dependability and punctuality in adhering to assigned work schedules
- Respect for resident privacy and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Push and pull up to 50 lbs
