Job Summary
Conduct scheduled cleaning and maintenance tasks including floor scrubbing, carpet shampooing, window washing, and restroom disinfection. Remove waste, restock disposable items, and operate equipment such as floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, and pressure washers. Sweep walks, dust surfaces, and maintain a safe, clean facility environment. Work full-time hours with scheduling flexibility for weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations. Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record required for company vehicle duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School education
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to successfully complete a driver training program
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form
- Good understanding of institutional housekeeping operations
- Familiarity with applicable procedures, common housekeeping practices and standards
- Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with a wide variety of College personnel as well as outside vendors and contractors
- Ability to work cooperatively with others and deal courteously with students, faculty, staff and co-workers
- Ability to tolerate work related stress effectively and maintain self-control/professionalism
- Must be available for weekends
- Must be available for holidays
- Must be available during college administrative closings
- Must participate in the on call program
