Job Summary
Maintain high facility cleanliness and appearance by performing daily routine cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and complete bathroom cleaning. Refresh bath areas by cleaning tubs, toilets, and sinks, while removing used towels and bathmats. Protect residents and employees by adhering to infection control policies, OSHA requirements, and biohazard procedures. Restock housekeeping carts at the end of each shift and remove trash, newspapers, and recyclables. Keep residents safe by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and performing preventive maintenance before calling Maintenance for repairs. Present a positive image within Salemtowne by fostering friendly relationships with residents and staff.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) – two (2) years' general facilities housekeeping experience
- Technical knowledge of biohazard procedures
- Ability to meet OSHA compliance standards
- Working knowledge of general facility cleaning procedures
- Capable of standing and walking short distances for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, carry, and/or pull objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push objects greater than 50 pounds
- Sensory demands include vision correctable to 20/20, touch using fine finger movement/dexterity, smell, and hear correctable to normal range
