Job Summary
Housekeeper cleans and services all areas of the hospital and all buildings owned by the hospital. They arrange furniture in an organized and orderly fashion, keep equipment and storage areas clean and organized, and may have access to medication storage areas related to job responsibilities. Shift is 2nd shift, PRN, with on-site duties and required ability to read/write and follow directions, use cleaning equipment, clean blood and body fluids, replenish supplies, and handle hazardous chemicals. Training is provided on the job.”,
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write and follow written and oral directions
- Must know how to use cleaning equipment (i.e. vacuum cleaner)
- Ability to clean blood and body fluids
- Ability to replenish all paper supplies, waste can liners and handle hazardous chemicals correctly
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test (standing, bending, stooping, and sitting for extended periods)
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
