Job Summary
Housekeeper responsible for performing cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, laundry, carpet shampooing, scrubbing bathrooms, cleaning counters, taking out the trash and cleaning windows; also restocks common area bathrooms with paper products and soap. Follows detailed cleaning worksheet/checklist, prepares cleaning solutions, uses chemical cleaners and power equipment, cleans floors and walls, steam cleans carpets, dusts furniture and fixtures, cleans windows/mirrors, adjusts heating/cooling as needed, empties trash, ensures suites with two residents are cleaned twice weekly, and notifies supervisor of major repairs via maintenance log. Requires High School Diploma/GED and 1 year related experience; ability to work weekends/evenings; strong communication skills and infection-control awareness.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma/ GED required
- One (1) year job related experience
- Understanding of infection control procedures
- Demonstrate the ability to Multi task and Manage Stress
- Understands and embraces the assisted living philosophy
- Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
