Job Summary
Housekeeper for hospital Environmental Services. Performs 8-step cleaning procedures including daily cleaning, discharge cleaning, bed making, curtain hanging, and cleaning of patient areas and equipment. Responsible for disinfecting/ sanitizing IV poles, pumps, and other patient equipment; handles cleanup of organic waste as instructed; assists with office/move/setup duties and special events as needed. Requires English proficiency, ability to lift 25-50 pounds, and adherence to department guidelines. Schedule is Part-Time 20 hours, Days on Saturdays/Sundays with rotating holidays (9:00 am–7:30 pm).
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Ability to understand and converse in English at a level that allows safe, efficient performance of the job
- Be able to lift 25-50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and lift
- Competent in using proper chemicals for proper tasks
- Ability to learn and demonstrate new procedures related to the healthcare industry
- Part-Time scheduling: 20 hours, Days, Saturday-Sunday & Rotating Holidays
