Job Summary
Clean bathrooms, floors, furniture, and fixtures throughout the Fort Smith Convention Center facility, including sweeping debris, scraping grease, and emptying waste containers. Assist Operations Staff with event setup and teardown, restock restroom dispensers, and operate mechanized equipment like blowers and vacuums. Provide direction to guests when requested and review work assignments with the Building Supervisor. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality while performing other duties as assigned. This part-time role offers an hourly rate of $13.00-$15.00 with 401(k) matching and requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand and consistently follow work rules, procedures and directions
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Ability to operate mechanized equipment such as blowers, buffers and vacuums
- Ability to work independently and efficiently; exercise initiative, resourcefulness, good judgment and accept responsibility for own actions
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays as required
- Must be able to work in a fast past environment, with a sense of urgency
- Ability to maintain consistency and high-quality service dealing with high volume and back-to-back cleaning tasks
- Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning and identifying areas that require special attention
Desired Qualifications
- 1-2+ years' of experience in housekeeping functions in a public assembly facility preferred but not required
