Job Summary
Cleans and disinfects patient areas, walls, windows, and restrooms using established protocols and proper chemicals. Performs housekeeping services for all patient demographics, including making beds, sorting linens, and maintaining adequate supplies of soap and tissues. Spot cleans furniture and carpets, while keeping carts and vacuum equipment clean and functional. Reports equipment repairs or replacement needs to ensure facility standards are met. Offers suggestions to improve work methods and participates in quality improvement processes. Works a day shift with rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Less than 1 year
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Knowledge of equipment such as vacuums and commercial washers and dryers
- Must have basic phone and computer skills (email, texting, etc.)
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Push/pull patients on bed, stretcher (requires 29 lbs. push force)
- Lateral transfers up to 50 lbs. of the patient's weight
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift

Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year Prior housekeeping experience
