Job Summary
Maintain the facility in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner by performing day-to-day housekeeping activities in accordance with federal, state, and local standards. Ensure an adequate supply of linen is on hand at all times to meet resident needs while following written and oral instructions regarding cleaning compounds and procedures. Adhere to proper body mechanics when lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving equipment or supplies exceeding fifty pounds, and manage time independently to complete repetitive arm and shoulder movements throughout most shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
- Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a minimum one year experience working in a nursing home housekeeping position
- Attention to detail
- Reliable
- Must be able to stand most shift and do repetitive arm/shoulder movements
- Must be able to assume responsibility and possess ability to work independently, problem solving and managing time
Desired Qualifications
- Entry level, 1 year experience a plus.
