Job Summary
Provide non-medical in-home support services, including companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication assistance. Maintain a clean, safe environment for clients and family members while promoting their mental alertness through social activities. Document all services provided and report any changes in a client's condition to the supervisor. Complete required training, orientation, and continuing education programs. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies while driving to client locations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check
- Criminal Background Investigation
- Motor Vehicle Driving Record
- Professional and Personal Reference Checks
- Reliable transportation
- Reliability and punctuality
- Valid driver's license
- Automobile insurance
- Must satisfactorily complete Comfort Keepers training and orientation program
- Accept responsibility for learning and adhering to Comfort Keepers policies and procedures
- Ability to function in the home setting with minimal direct supervision
- Ability to maintain satisfactory relationships with administrative staff, clients, and family members
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to document services provided
