Job Summary
Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming student accommodation by performing daily cleaning of communal areas, kitchens, lounges, bathrooms, and floors; clean toilets and sanitary fittings; restock supplies; report maintenance issues; comply with health and safety regulations; assist with deep and seasonal cleaning; assist with move-ins/move-outs to ensure rooms are clean and presentable; operate cleaning equipment safely; manage inventory and secure cleaning stores; perform inspections and collaborate with the Accommodation Manager to ensure resident satisfaction and smooth operation.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform daily cleaning and sanitation tasks in communal and private spaces
- Experience with cleaning to high standards
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices
- Ability to restock supplies and manage inventory
- Ability to report maintenance issues promptly
- Experience with deep cleaning and seasonal cleans
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
- Attention to detail for move-ins/move-outs inspections
- Teamwork and ability to work with Accommodation Manager
- Ability to secure premises when unoccupied
- Flexibility for ad-hoc duties
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Good communication with residents and staff
