Job Summary
Clean and stock guest rooms, hallways, and public areas per assigned shifts, ensuring sparkling cleanliness and organized workspaces. Greet guests by name with a smile during interactions and handle challenging situations with hospitality and urgency. Complete all operational checklists accurately at designated times and submit precise shift handover reports. Pitch in for additional cleaning projects in storage rooms, guest laundry, or deep cleaning as needed. Work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, performing physical tasks such as lifting linens and climbing stairs. Maintain a flawless uniform and follow established guidelines while collaborating with the team to support guest satisfaction scores.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must have a desire to serve all guests
- Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job
- Must be willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays based upon the demands of the hotel
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily
- Must be able to carry out physical working demands such as stooping, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking, and repetitive motions
- Must be able to lift certain housekeeping items such as linens, trash, or vacuums
