Job Summary
Housekeeper responsible for prompt guest requests, replenishing supplies, entering guest rooms with proper access, replacing amenities and linens, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, removing trash, ensuring appliances work, and maintaining room cleanliness. Duties include dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and completing safety procedures. Must follow company policies, maintain confidentiality, welcome guests, and assist individuals with disabilities. Requires clear communication, teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, push/pull a housekeeping cart, and stand/walk for extended periods. Required Qualifications
- Respond to guest requests and other departments promptly
- Fill cart with supplies and transport cart to assigned area
- Enter guest rooms following access procedures and ensure vacancy before entering
- Replace guest amenities and supplies; replace dirty linens and terry with clean items
- Make beds and fold terry; clean bathrooms; remove trash and room service items
- Check appliances in room are present and working
- Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances; dust and polish surfaces
- Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties in guest rooms and hallways
- Follow safety and security policies; complete safety training and certifications
- Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information
- Welcome and acknowledge guests; anticipate and address service needs; assist individuals with disabilities
- Communicate clearly and professionally; support team goals
- Move, lift, carry, and place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance; heavier with assistance
- Push/pull a housekeeping cart and equipment over uneven surfaces
- Reach overhead and below the knees; bend, twist, pull, stoop; stand or walk for extended periods
- Perform other duties as requested by Supervisors
- Education: No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent (preferred)
