Job Summary
Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, and other hospital spaces according to established protocols. Follow oral and written instructions to complete daily cleaning schedules and respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests. Adhere to infection control policies and safety standards to protect patients, staff, and self from potential hazards. Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment that supports the hospital's mission of fostering healing and well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated manual dexterity and physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including reaching overhead and floor care
- Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work, preferably in a healthcare setting
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with healthcare infection control standards and protocols
- Experience using specialized cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and buffers
