Job Summary
The Housekeeper handles cleaning of resident apartments, public and common areas, and performs laundry for residents and the community in a friendly, courteous manner. Responsibilities include cleaning designated areas, completing community and resident laundry and ironing, maintaining a safe environment per safety standards, and promoting teamwork with staff across departments. The role requires a high level of customer service, interaction with residents and families, and adherence to health and safety protocols. Qualifications include at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, prior housekeeping/janitorial experience preferred, excellent customer service skills, ability to communicate effectively, and ability to pass background checks and health screenings (including TB tests); vaccination and PPE usage may be required. This is a full-time position with benefits and opportunities for career growth across California, Nevada, Hawaii, and Colorado within a senior living community managed by Oakmont Management Group.
Required Qualifications
- Prefer prior housekeeping or janitorial experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
- Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- May require vaccination and daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear PPE per regulatory guidelines
