Job Summary
Conduct daily housekeeping duties including changing sheets, arranging towels, restocking supplies, vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning rooms post-checkout. Ensure all areas meet brand and IHM standards while notifying supervisors of damages, deficits, or disturbances. Maintain excellent guest service in stressful situations and handle workplace problems by anticipating, preventing, and solving issues as necessary. Schedule is variable based on guest occupancy, season, and staffing factors. Island Hospitality offers a formalized training program with clear growth paths for team members.
Required Qualifications
- Highly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievement
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Readily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest service
- Regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Variable scheduling availability based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors
