Job Summary
Clean residents' apartments and public areas according to established procedures and schedules, while performing all laundry duties in commercial facilities. Maintain sanitary conditions in assigned zones using proper techniques and follow written instructions for mixing cleaning compounds and disinfecting solutions. Operate buffers, extraction equipment, vacuums, and commercial laundry machines, using supplies economically and reporting needs to the supervisor. Handle resident condition information tactfully and communicate effectively with residents, families, and the public. Stand for long periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds while working in a moderate noise environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- One to three years related experience
- Related training
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to deal tactfully with associates, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
- Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition
- Ability to operate buffers
- Ability to operate extraction equipment
- Ability to operate vacuums
- Ability to operate all commercial laundry equipment
- Ability to read
