Job Summary
Clean residents' apartments and public areas according to established procedures and schedules. Perform all laundry duties in commercial facilities using buffers, extraction equipment, vacuums, and other machines. Maintain sanitary conditions in assigned zones while operating cleaning compounds and disinfecting solutions. Make independent decisions to address resident conditions and interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and government personnel. Report supply and equipment needs to the supervisor for replenishment. Operate within an 8am-4pm schedule at Independence Village Carmel.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- One to three years related experience
- Related training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to deal tactfully with associates, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixing of cleaning compounds, liquids, disinfecting solutions, etc.
- Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition
- Ability to operate buffers
- Ability to operate extraction equipment
- Ability to operate vacuums
- Ability to operate all commercial laundry equipment
- Ability to read
- Ability to write
- Ability to speak fluent English
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to sit

- Ability to use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects
