Job Summary
Perform daily cleaning routines in patient rooms, public areas, and ancillary spaces to maintain a sanitary environment. Collect regulated and non-regulated waste, soiled linens, and materials per regulatory guidelines. Clean and service assigned areas, fulfill routine cleaning requests, and move furniture including beds and gurneys. Replenish supplies cost-effectively and accurately record inventory and work-related data. Communicate task status verbally to the shift charge person and follow directions from the charge person. This role includes rotating shifts, standby, and on-call duties with local travel between Independence Health locations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Act 34-PA Criminal Record Check from the PA State Police system
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
- Excellent communication and customer services skills
- Travel may be expected locally between Independence Health locations
- When lift requirement is in excess of 50#, lift assistance (2 person) and/or transfer device is required
