Job Summary
Maintain high-level cleanliness in all guest spaces, including rooms, corridors, and common areas, by pulling dirty linen, emptying trash, dusting windowsills, and cleaning glass and mirrors. Perform detailed cleaning projects on furniture, fixtures, and equipment, while vacuuming carpets, disinfecting bathrooms, and ensuring all lighting and telephones function properly. Complete work order requests for maintenance daily, report unsafe conditions or mildew issues to the supervisor, and assist with special projects, renovations, and training new staff members.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as room attendant with a keen sense of attention to detail
- Basic understanding of cleanliness standards and chemical maintenance
- Knowledge of general cleaning processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
- Ability to lift and move a minimum of 30 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs 30% of the time
- Ability to push and pull a minimum of 30 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
