Job Summary
Conduct project work on floors using automatic floor equipment and perform total patient room cleaning following established procedures. Move furniture, equipment, and supplies in and around hospital departments, and manage trash removal including hazardous and medical waste collection. Clean entrances and parking lot of debris and trash, and respond to emergency codes. Provide on-call coverage for weekends and holidays as scheduled. Minimum 32 hours per month on 2nd shift with weekends as needed. Prior hospital or industrial cleaning experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.
- Ability to operate cleaning devices, i.e., automatic floor equipment, buffers, commercial vacuums, mops and wringers, and other necessary tools, products and supplies.
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience performing cleaning operations in a hospital, industrial or office setting, with minimum three months training preferred.
