Job Summary
Perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks in resident rooms and common areas per daily assignments; clean bathrooms, windows, floors, and surfaces; disinfect and polish fixtures; remove waste and trash; perform terminal cleaning procedures when a resident is discharged or transferred; maintain cleanliness of hallways, stairs, elevators, and other assigned areas; lift/move up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for most of the day, and communicate effectively in English within a health-care/Continuing Care Retirement Community environment.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of high school education or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment/supplies a minimum of fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to bend, turn, reach over head and below knees throughout work day
- Ability to stand and walk 80% of the work day
- Ability to see and hear or use prosthetics adequately so that the tasks of this position can be fully met
