Job Summary
The Housekeeping Associate keeps the senior living community clean and safe for residents, families, and staff. Responsibilities include cleaning resident apartments, all common areas, vacant units, and public restrooms; maintaining housekeeping and laundry carts; handling laundry and proper chemical storage; following posted schedules and emergency procedures; reporting injuries; and communicating with supervisors about supplies and needs. Requires attention to safety, ability to manage multiple tasks, and physical ability to lift up to 40-50 pounds and stand for long periods. High school diploma or GED is preferred, and COVID-19 vaccination is required with exemptions as allowed by policy. Position is full-time and on-site in Richardson/Garland, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma preferred/ GED accepted
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Organizational and time management skills
- Physically able to bend and reach
- Physically able to push and pull and lift up to 40-50 pounds if necessary
- Physically able to stand for extended periods of time
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Follows emergency procedures and safety protocols with chemicals
- Willingness to handle biohazardous waste according to procedures
- Communicates effectively with supervisors and team members
- Vaccination policy compliance (COVID-19) as per company policy
