Job Summary
The Housekeeping Associate cleans resident apartments, all common areas (halls, landings, stairs, activity areas, lobbies, elevators, model units), and vacant units as assigned; maintains cleanliness of public restrooms; manages housekeeping and laundry carts, washes and dries community laundry, and follows posted work schedules. Responsibilities include reporting injuries and supply needs to supervisors, adhering to emergency procedures, handling biohazardous waste properly, and coordinating with the Housekeeping Supervisor and Plant Operations Director. The role requires effective communication with team members and adherence to safety and cleanliness standards to support a safe, welcoming community for residents and visitors.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma preferred or GED accepted
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Physically able to bend, reach, push, pull, and lift up to 40-50 pounds
- Physically able to stand for extended periods of time
- Follows safety procedures and proper handling of biohazardous waste
