Job Summary
Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum cleaning duties including dusting furniture, washing walls, windows, and ceilings using established standards and procedures. Operate equipment such as vacuums and apply cleaning solutions or deodorizers as required. Perform light and heavy cleaning tasks while organizing work areas and communicating effectively with others. The role is casual with hours subject to change based on operational needs. Applicants must complete a Criminal Records Review Check and provide vaccination history records.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to organize work
- Ability to operate related equipment
- The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes
- Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check
- all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections
