Job Summary
Conduct general housekeeping, laundry, and specialty cleaning projects across the Star Valley Medical Center campus and offsite locations. Clean wards, rooms, baths, laboratories, and offices while maintaining a professional manner and disposing of supplies correctly. Provide adequate linen supplies, remove soiled linens, and ensure infection control guidelines are followed daily. Handle confidential patient and staff information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Attend scheduled training classes and represent Star Valley Health positively in the community. Complete additional assignments as needs arise. Requires high school diploma or GED, commercial cleaning experience, and ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to follow oral and written communication
- Maintain a working relationship with other employees within the department and other departments
- Strong multi-tasking skills with the ease of changing directions upon request and need
- Aptitude to work around patients with respect to their situation
- Comply with HIPAA and other federal, state and local regulations as well, as maintain the highest degree of confidentiality inpatient, visitor and staff matters
- Maintain a team and positive work environment
- Adaptable to working in a team environment or individually
- Constant standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending and reaching throughout the work day
- Able to lift fifty (20) pounds on a regular basis, ability to lift seventy-five (50) pounds occasionally
- Strong work ethic and attention to details
- Commercial cleaning experience

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent desired
