Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive cleaning of common spaces and resident rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, carpet shampooing, and sanitizing bathrooms. Maintain stocked housekeeping carts, ensure chemical safety, and collect and empty trash while adhering to infection control protocols. Assess resident conditions, report changes or special problems immediately, and notify maintenance of hazards such as burned-out bulbs. Use wet floor signs in public areas and listen to resident or family concerns, escalating them to the supervisor as needed. Maintain emotional composure and comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Work full-time with daily pay, PTO, and health benefits in a supportive senior living environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds
- Ability to lift, carry, stand, bend, squat, crawl, reach, kneel, push, pull, and twist using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time
- Ability to read, speak, and write in English
- Must be able to work with hazardous chemicals
- Must enjoy working in a team environment and willing to support others on the team as requested by supervisor
- Must have the ability to follow proper procedures and practices
- Must have a natural affinity for seniors and a genuine concern for their well-being
- Must be able to assess changes in residents and communicate the changes to management
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
Desired Qualifications
- High School or GED equivalent preferred
- Some experience working in a hospitality setting or a senior community is helpful, but not required
