Job Summary
Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax, and polish all common areas, rooms, dining rooms, and entryways while mixing cleaning solutions to safe, non-irritating concentrations. Empty and sanitize trash containers, move and dust furniture, wipe exterior doors and brass fixtures, and buff heavily used areas. Perform light repairs such as plunging toilets, attend staff meetings, assist office personnel, and maintain a team approach toward all staff. Work within a diverse team at Cornerstone Management Communities to foster safe, engaging environments for seniors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or previous work experience
- Physical ability to perform manual work
- One-year prior cleaning and custodial experience
- Ability to meet physical requirements of position as determined by a pre-employment physical performed by Cornerstone Management Communities' designated medical provider
- Knowledge of safe cleaning chemicals that are non-allergenic
- Ability to understand and relate well to senior adults
- Must be flexible and able to work within a diverse team
