Job Summary
Housekeeper will clean patient rooms, restrooms, common areas, offices and surrounding areas according to housekeeping standards; maintain cleaning equipment, carts and janitor closets; follow safety practices for cleaning products and equipment; disinfect patient rooms upon discharge; respond to complaints professionally; notify supervisors of injuries or safety concerns; cross-train in porter and laundry duties and fill in as directed; work on-site with ability to lift up to 25 pounds and move carts up to 100 pounds; shifts may require weekend hours and some overtime.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience providing cleaning services in healthcare/hospital/ hotel or similar industry a plus
- Ability to communicate in English; read and write effectively
- Cross-trained in porter and laundry duties; able to fill in as needed
- Skills in stripping, waxing, buffing floors, spot cleaning and carpet cleaning preferred
- Experience working with an addiction population preferred
