Job Summary
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and sanitizing of the building, ensuring all public areas and washrooms are clean, fully stocked, and meet sanitation protocols. Assist with large event preparation, set up meeting room spaces using checklists, and sign off on completed work with date, time, and initials. Report supply shortages, hazards, and equipment needs to the supervisor, while maintaining and cleaning equipment and complying with hazardous material policies. Respond immediately to emergency situations and customer concerns, demonstrating attention to detail and providing exceptional service. Maintain a clean and safe workplace while working flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Must have valid WHIMIS, First Aid, CPR, and AED or be willing to obtain them in the first 3 months of employment
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, extended (long) workdays, and extended numbers of days
- Able to work independently and under minimal supervision
- Must be able to work as part of a team
- Ability to lift heavy objects
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience cleaning a business facility preferred
- Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple assignments
- Ability to use Windows-based computer systems and experience with the Microsoft Office suite of programs
