Job Summary
Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of assigned areas, movable furnishings, walls, ceilings, and bathrooms while disinfecting, polishing, and removing trash. Perform room preparation for discharged residents and new occupants, including isolation units, and water resident flowers. Straighten furnishings, vacuum carpeting, and clean stairways and entrances. Maintain a clean housekeeping cart, attend staff meetings, cross-train in laundry, and report structural defects or equipment malfunctions via work orders. Work full-time 6am to 2:30pm, rotating every other weekend and holiday. Requires criminal background clearance and adherence to trauma-informed care and compliance ethics standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to follow written and oral directions
- Ability to communicate and cooperate with a variety of people (Residents, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors)
- Personal cleanliness and good grooming habits
- Must have a sense of responsibility
- Must adhere to dress code
- Must be able to work without direct supervision
- Adequate physical health to perform the essential functions of this position
- Criminal background clearance – Act 169 & Act 13
