Job Summary
Conduct daily cleaning of assigned areas, including bathrooms, carpets, walls, and windows, while disinfecting, polishing, and removing trash. Perform room turnover duties for discharged residents, clean isolation units, and water resident flowers. Maintain a clean housekeeping cart, attend staff meetings and in-services, and cross-train in laundry. Report structural defects and equipment malfunctions via work orders. Support QAPI efforts by participating in training, carrying out assigned roles, and sharing improvement ideas with leadership. Recognize your role in trauma-informed care and compliance ethics by following code of conduct and reporting concerns. Deliver supplies, perform minor maintenance repairs, and handle emergency cleaning as directed by the Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to follow written and oral directions
- Ability to communicate and cooperate with a variety of people (Residents, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors)
- Personal cleanliness and good grooming habits
- Must have a sense of responsibility
- Must adhere to dress code
- Must be able to work without direct supervision
- Adequate physical health to perform the essential functions of this position
- Criminal background clearance – Act 169 & Act 13
