Job Summary
Housekeeper position, Full-Time (6:00am–2:30pm) in York, PA. Responsibilities include following cleaning schedules, cleaning assigned areas and fixtures, disinfecting, disposing of trash, watering plants, vacuuming and spot cleaning carpets, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing supplies, organizing furnishings, and preparing rooms for new occupants. Performs cleaning in isolation units, participates in QAPI-related activities, attends trainings and staff meetings, and supports compliance and ethics initiatives. Cross-trains in Laundry and collaborates with leadership to identify improvement opportunities, with emphasis on safety, trauma-informed care, and resident well-being. Must be able to stand/walk/bend for extended periods and meet basic cleanliness, grooming, and teamwork requirements. Criminal background clearance required per Act 169 & Act 13.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Criminal background clearance – Act 169 & Act 13
- Adequate physical health to perform essential functions
- Ability to follow written and oral directions
- Ability to communicate with Residents, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors
