Job Summary
Clean and service all areas of the hospital and all buildings owned by the hospital, arranging furniture in an organized and orderly fashion. Keep all equipment and storage areas clean and organized. Replenish paper supplies, waste can liners, and handle hazardous chemicals correctly while cleaning blood and body fluids, furniture, windows, restrooms, walls, and hard surface floors. Use cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and maintain a clean workspace. Work the 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, 40 hours per week, every weekend. No access to patient health information; may access medication storage areas excluding controlled substances.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write and follow written and oral directions
- Must know how to use cleaning equipment (i.e. vacuum cleaner)
- Ability to clean blood and body fluids
- Must be able to replenish all paper supplies, waste can liners and handle hazardous chemicals correctly
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include standing, bending, stooping, and sitting for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
